This great classic of genre is an ideal first step for pathworking because it
explores all aspects of the Qabalah, including the esoteric sciences of astrology and tarot,
which form the basis of the Western Mystery Traditions. It provides a key to the practical
working of this mystical system for both novice and initiate alike.
Magic of the Qabalah: Visions of the Tree of Life by Kala Trobe
Having benefitted enormously from this book, I'm delighted
to include it here. Kala freely admits to using Dion Fortune's book above as her source
material, but Kala's is much more of a how-to book and updated for the 21st century reader.
Refreshingly, she comes to the subject matter from the viewpoint of the esotericist that she is,
and there is a enchanting tale at the end of which I won't spoil your enjoyment
by saying any more about it. Five stars!
The Temple of High Magic by Ina Custers-von Bergen
A practical guide to pathworking and other esoteric techniques from
the ancient mystery schools predating Christianity. This book is an excellent source
of the practical knowledge for modern spiritual seekers who wish
to incorporate the proven esoteric techniques of the magi into their lives. It also
explains the dynamics of group ritual and solo practice as well as the critical role played by the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, the key to inner knowledge.
