About Ishtar's Gate
While Ishtar's Gate was the eighth gate of Babylon, it is also regarded as a portal, a gateway, within the system of High Magic, to a sacred grove or inner temple, the Temenos, and the high priestess practitioners of the Mysteries.
The Mystery teachings were a later flowering of the tree of what we now call shamanism. These teachings were shamanic, intuitive and respected the subjective alongside the objective. Another word for this kind of knowledge is Gnosticism ~ which is where the word 'knowledge' comes from.
But these teachings have not been lost and are available today.
Mystery teachings are holistic and holographic. They respect the microcosmic processes within those of the macrocosmic. They are, in themselves, spiritual initiations because, through them, the adept learns to practically experience the Spirit within all matter or, as Einstein called it, the energy which governs the Field.
So if you're looking for writing and commentary which comes from this point of view, you're welcome and you may enter the Hanging Gardens of Babylon.
Or you might rather spend some time chilling in this outside precinct, and visit the stalls offering everything from discussions, books and music to paintings and healing. It's all in the left hand menu.
